The final day of the WPGA Las Vegas Pro-Am is underway. The Diamond Division is taking on Cascata Golf Course and the Hearts Division is just off the strip at Las Vegas CC.
Day 2 featured another great day of golf, laughs and fellowship. With light winds and sunshine, the groups had the green light to go low.
Leading the way in the Diamond Division at Las Vegas CC was the team of Joaquin Diaz, Keith Llanas, Chad Sloden, John Francis and Dave Riebau. They were able to post an 18-under-par 134 in the 1,2,3 net best ball event. The score also pushed them into the overall Diamond Division lead at 26-under-par.
Over at Southern Highlands Golf Club the Horseshoe Bay Golf Club crew of Jamie Christianson, Grant Wabnitz, Jason Hogue, Andrew Morel and Dave Jilot would get the job done with a 19-under-par 125 in the one net, one gross format. With back-to-back second place finishes the Bisbee's Golf Center team leads by two shots in the overall hearts contest.
Grabbing the top spot in the low pro games on Tuesday were Diaz with 23 points at Las Vegas CC, and Michael Crowley with an very impressive 30 points at Southern Highlands.

The first round of the WPGA Las Vegas Pro-Am is in the books. It was a great day of golf and camaraderie as the sold out field visited Cascata Golf Course and SouthShore Country Club.
Coming out on top in the Hearts Division with a blistering 25-under-par in the 2 net competition at Cascata was the group of Ryan Helminen, Kou Xiong, Matt Butch, Jesse Troestler and Peter Cormier. Their impressive score was good enough for a two shot win.
In the Diamond Division the Blackwolf Run squad of Dan Hastreiter, Joe Abruzzo, Jimmy Bielanski, Matt Schwechel and Mark McCune would get the job done in the one net, one gross better ball format. Their 14-under-par 128 total gave them a two shot win over the Joe DeRosa led La Crosse CC team.
In the low pro stableford events, Helminen would lead the way in the Hearts Division with 26 points. In the Diamond Division Matt Hartmann grabbed the top spot with 20 points.
The Hearts Division heads to Southern Highlands Golf Club today, while the Diamond Division will enjoy a round at Las Vegas CC.

Some beautiful Las Vegas weather has greeted the players on day one.
The Diamond Division is visiting SouthShore Country Club, while the Hearts Division is teeing it up Cascata Golf Course.

The Wisconsin PGA Spring Membership Meeting brought together over 130 WPGA professionals on Wednesday at Wilderness Hotel & Golf Resort. The full day slate of events included the Wisconsin Golf Salesperson product showcase, a Q&A with PGA of America Vice President, Don Rea, and the biannual business meeting among the members. It was a great way to kick off the 2024 season.

Congrats to the Dretzka Park GC squad of Dave Labinski, Josh Zuba, Matt Gasn, Dave Beres & Jack Charon. They were victorious at yesterday's 3rd Annual X Golf Brookfield Winter Pro-Am. 29-under-par 115 provided them with a one-shot victory. All teams were playing The Links at Spanish Bay.
